Your training takes place both online, in studio and on location [read: epic retreat location!]. This structure allows for staggered training to work in with your life balance, along with immersive experiences for connection with your fellow yogi students.

Zero Point Academy opens its doors once a year to students who are ready to expand their knowledge, find deeper connection to their practice and discover their authentic self through yoga.

Meet Bec


Senior Teacher.

Bec has a way of distilling this potent information and life science into something that is relevant for you in your daily life. Bringing 5000 year old teachings to the modern world and offering practical advice on how to integrate Yogic wisdom into now. Bringing old yoga philosophy into modern life involves the harmonious integration of timeless wisdom with contemporary values and challenges. By embracing the foundational principles of yoga, such as mindfulness, self-awareness, and interconnectedness, we can better navigate the complexities of today's fast-paced world.

Bec's teaching will encourage cultivating inner peace, promoting physical well-being, and fostering mental resilience through techniques like meditation, breath control, and ethical conduct. By incorporating these age-old teachings into daily routines, we can find balance, reduce stress, and enhance our overall quality of life, creating a holistic approach that resonates with both tradition and the demands of the modern era.

Guest Teachers

Meet Kat

Senior Yoga Teacher

Legendary teacher Katherine Thompson will join the teacher training as a special guest for a weekend of Asana Training. Fine-tuning the art of yoga asanas, where every breath, every alignment, and every moment converge to create a symphony of balance and strength. Kat has a way of breaking down postures to their fundamentals, providing you with a framework to deconstruct, then reconstruct any shapes. The Asana journey-refinement enables us to delve deeper into the nuances of each pose, unlocking new layers of mindfulness and connection. Kat will teach us to embrace the subtle adjustments that lead to profound transformation.

 
 

Meet Ryan Mannix

Ryan Mannix is a meditation and yoga teacher based in on the Surf Coast of Victoria. 

He has been sharing his passion for teaching meditation and yoga both in Australia and abroad since 2013. Leading workshops, events, classes and teacher trainings. 

Ryan has always had a keen interest in movement and meditation. Before yoga he was a professional runner, representing Australia a number of times. After an injury that side-lined his running career, he began to practice yoga as a means of rehabilitation. He then went on to do his first teacher training in Bali and has since been sharing Yoga around the world.

Ryan has worked and collaborated with many different organisations to share the benefits of mindfulness, meditation and Yoga. He has worked with a number of AFL teams, The Australian Olympic team, the WSL surf league professionals, Swimming Australia, Tennis Australia, The National Gallery of Victoria, The LUME Melbourne, along with many corporate organisations around the world.

Ryan is an Australian ambassador for lululemon and through this collaboration, leads community events across Australia and Asia.

Ryan’s teaching stem from Buddhism and mindfulness meditation, along with having extensive training in non-dual meditation.

He has an online studio Its All Yoga, teaches weekly classes across Melbourne and the Surf Coast, leads teacher trainings and also has an established teacher mentoring program, ‘FLY’, which has had over 250 teachers come through the program since 2018.

 
 

Meet Shyamala

Shyamala is a longtime practitioner of Yoga, and a scholar of Sanskrit and Yoga traditions. She is currently a Research Candidate for Asian and Pacific Languages with the Australian National University where she will further her Sanskrit Studies in Vedic texts and literature. She holds a BSC in Mathematics and Education and is a qualified yoga teacher. She has worked in the yoga industry and taught yoga to adults and children. As a scholar and practitioner, Shyamala hopes to provide yoga teachers and practitioners with a practical introduction to Sanskrit, the language of Yoga.
