 EXPECT:

● Deepen Understanding of Trauma: You’ll be learning how trauma affects the body and mind, the range of trauma informed concepts and trauma informed yoga.

● Enhance Your Trauma-Aware/Informed Facilitation Skills: You’ll walk away with practical skills to weave trauma-aware or informed practices into your yoga classes, considering how tools like cueing, psychosocial safety considerations, and other trauma-informed practices best fit your unique teaching/space holding style and the community you support.

● Using Reflective Practice, Create A Plan For Growth & Learning: With a better understanding of the continuum of trauma-informed practices you’ll have opportunity for personal reflective practice in considering how you may weave the teachings that resonate into your life, community and teaching.

● Build Your Own Self-Care Toolkit: You’ll learn how to look after yourself in your ongoing learning journey on trauma and trauma-informed yoga teaching practice. We acknowledge that being trauma-informed is a practice and requires self care throughout this journey and to best show up for our students self care is paramount.

This program is a personal reflective practice journey, combining traditional and social learning, yoga practice and an encouragement for learners to use their favorite nervous system regulating practices throughout.

As we collectively deepen our understanding of trauma we will explore how it affects the body and the mind, learn the history of trauma-informed practices and consider how these insights may shift your practice in teaching or holding space.

The focus is on you and your practice - building awareness, finding what truly resonates with you and further developing your ability put these concepts into practice in a way that is authentic to you.
